Current research and development in prosthetic hand design faces a significant challenge - the high cost associated with customizing prosthetic hands to match users' specific hand deformities. In the United States alone, there are over 541,000 upper limb amputees, with partial hand/finger amputations accounting for 78% of cases. EXODIA centers on implementing a data-driven approach for designing modular prosthetic hands, aiming to significantly reduce the reliance on human designers for customization.
